March 11th Speaker
Dan Peterson
Coalition of Property Rights

Dan Peterson has been deeply involved in the central Florida business and political communities since 1998. He has worked in both the Florida Senate and the Florida House as a Legislative Assistant.
Prior to that, he was the Public Affairs Manager for SPRINT/EMBARQ/Century Link. His responsibilities included lobbying, community affairs, and serving on various boards of directors such as the Winter Park, Goldenrod, and Seminole County Regional Chambers of Commerce, Business Force, and the Community Leadership Council for the Howard Philips Center for Children and Families.
Before moving to Orlando in 1998, Dan served as Campus Crusade’s Director of Affairs for Eurasia (the former Soviet Union). During his 14 years of residency in Moscow, Russia, Dan traveled extensively as a popular seminar leader and conference speaker.
Dan was born in Chicago, IL. He completed his undergraduate degree at Georgia Tech and did post graduate work at CW Post College in New York and at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California.
History documents the United States of America was founded upon the protection of private property rights. This principle, along with the other guarantees promised in our Constitution, and the rule of law laid the foundation for American prosperity and exceptionalism.
Sadly, over the past few decades, there has been a steady erosion of these fundamental tenets of our nation. The ever-growing maze of regulatory restrictions on property use is placing excessive burdens on property owners. And, the growth of government and government owned property is contributing to the rapid disappearance of private property all together. These trends are growing at an alarmingly accelerated rate and must be reversed!
