The Progressives Rush for Power
A. Progressives take their cue from the Populists
B. Teddy Roosevelt our first Progressive President
D. Wilson and the growing power of Progressivism.
F. Where are we today? What can we do? What should we look for?
1. This country is the closest its been to a Progressive takeover,
but.....the middle class is still here.
We are more aware of what is around us.
We must continue to learn and teach.
We cannot afford to be silent.
Alan's Bio
Born 2/15/1944 in New York City. Moved to North Bellmore L.I. and attended and graduated Wellington C. Mepham High School 1961. Studied at the University of Cincinnati and graduated in 1965 with a BA in Political Science and minor in Economics. Went to work for Sears Roebuck under their Executive Trainee Program working in the store and distribution center. After several years including a short two year stint in the US Army 1966-68 with the 4th Squadron 7th Cavalry, Camp Mckenzie South Korea, went to work for my father’s dress manufacturing company located in the garment district of Manhattan in 1970.
Moved to Florida in 1992 (one month before Hurricane Andrew)and was partner in a retail flea market operation selling ladies sportswear. Moved and retired to The Villages in 2005.

- The beginning of the fight between the Progressives and the Constitutionalists.
- The original intention of the Income Tax
D. Wilson and the growing power of Progressivism.
- The foundation blocks are laid.
- The Wilson brand of Progressivism leaves its mark.
