SECO DISTRICT 3 TRUSTEE Elected SECO District 3 Trustee March 2013 My wife, Sallie, and I moved to The Village of Polo Ridge in 2001. This was upon retiring as an executive from IBM after 30 years. I became involved in this community immediately and volunteer in many areas. Community Involvement: - Elected a CDD Supervisor in 2003-2010; Chairman for final 4 years. - Original member of the Resident Advisory Committee – 2007 - The Amenity Authority Committee – 2008 – elected Chairman of both Volunteer Activities: - Former Mentor for Take Stock in Children at South Sumter schools. - Member of the Buffalo Scholarship Foundation Membership Activities: - St. George’s Episcopal Church - IBM Retirees Club – Director of Community Relations. - Polo Ridge Social Club – past president Energy Update - Sumter Electric Cooperative -SECO Dick Belles - Elected in March 2013 What have I learned since becoming a SECO Trustee? Assigned to Finance & Audit Committee Assigned to be Alternate Voting Delegate to the annual NRECA meeting(2013). Assigned to be Voting Delegate to CFC(2014) Assigned to represent SECO to The Legislative Rally in Washington, D.C. Annual meetings - important for members to participate. 2014 first time without a Quorum Importance of becoming certified. I have attained my CDC and BLC.
