Oct 10th Mark Phillips
State Director GOP Faith Engagement Republican National Committee
Mark Phillips, Florida State Director RNC / GOP Faith Engagement Having birthed his aspirations to serve his country with active participation in the Republican Party, Mark Phillips at the age of 25 immersed himself into a local central Illinois phone bank with other young law school students during the 1980 Reagan presidential campaign. Little did he know that his meager efforts to take proactive grassroots action would provide such profound worldwide leadership significance as was experienced during the Reagan presidency years. It forever marked his heart with a deeper appreciation of our grand American heritage and freedoms - and the conviction that "we the people" at local and national campaign levels must build our own personal American stories in advancing and securing our constitutional liberties. As an active member in the Pinellas County Republican Executive Committee, he is also providing leadership to the RNC Faith Engagement program outreach throughout the State of Florida. He is a regular speaker / consultant for numerous special events in and out of the faith spectrum. Since 2013 this RNC outreach is empowering ministers and faith-leaders in key swing states to increase voter registration in their congregations and how to lead them to vote their values, subsequently increasing voter turnout in this election season. National online registration for this effort is at http://www.GOPFaith.com/ - providing you with enrichment, encouragement, and national conference calls for inspiration - recent calls were conducted with Speaker Newt Gingrich, Gov. Mike Huckabee, and Dr. Ben Carson - each providing a rich tapestry of history and coaching on how to grow the values voter turn-out. The faith-community is a critical conservative voting block for up-ticket and down-ticket victories in 2016 and ahead in future election battles. During the 2014 mid-term elections, while field director for a Tampa Bay volunteer recruitment / training program, he empowered his faith-based teams by naming them "Team Maximus" - subsequently this phone bank team became the top producing office with over 130,000 phone calls made in Florida to help provide victory for Gov. Scott and defeat Amendment 2 - Legalization of Pot. Five of his top phone callers had been life-long Democrats - having never done anything like this before - but through his coaching and leadership, they each had a transformational experience in building their own American story with renewed conservative moral and political convictions - and will subsequently now be voting "right". Earlier in 2014 he also worked in the successful CD 13 Special Election victory of Rep. David Jolly. He stands ready to help your community build an effective Team Maximus program and lead to victory in growing the conservative message for our country’s future health and stability. |
