DURING HER TIME AS COMMISSIONER SHE SUCESSFULLY COMPLETED COURSES IN ETHICS, COUNTY GOVERNMENT LAW, COUNTY GOVERNMENT SERVICES, FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, AND WAS THE FIRST SUMTER COUNTY COMMISSIONER EVER TO OBTAIN CERTIFICATION. Karen Krauss IS A CERTIFIED SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS BY THE DIVISION OF ELECTIONS, DEPARTMENT OF STATE, MEMBER OF THE FLORIDA STATE ASSOCIATION OF SUPRVISORS OF ELECTIONS. Wesley Wilcox - Marion County
Wesley Wilcox, CERA Supervisor of Elections Marion County, Florida PO Box 289 Ocala, Florida 34478-0289 Phone: 352.620.3290 Fax: 352.620.3286 Web: www.VoteMarion.com Wesley Wilcox is the Supervisor of Elections for Marion County. He was elected on November 6, 2012, and took office on 1/8/2013. Prior to his election, he was the Assistant Supervisor of Elections, a position he held for 7 years. He began his career in Marion County as the Systems Administrator in 2001. Prior to joining the Elections Office in 2001 he had worked in the Elections Industry for over 11 years. A few of the major milestones during Wesley’s tenure with the SOE are: 2002 and 2012 Reapportionment/ Redistricting, successful implementation of the Optical Scan Voting system (currently in use), the extremely popular Early Voting Ballot on Demand system, and the electronic Voter check-in stations used at all Marion County polling locations. Wesley recently completed the Florida Certified Elections Professional (FCEP) program becoming one of only 11 in the State to have done so. Wesley is also nationally certified by the Election Center as a Certified Elections/Registration Administrator (CERA). He has also been chosen to be an instructor for the Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections FCEP program. Wesley started his professional career with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from the University of Central Arkansas. Wesley is a Graduate of Leadership Ocala/ Marion County Class XIX. He served on the Board of Regents LOM program for 3 years. He recently completed his term on the Board of Directors for the Marion County Literacy Council. ____________
